Subject: Erie Waste to Energy (EWE) project update
Hello everyone,
Here’s a brief update on the EWE project:
SunCrest Energy submitted a Request for Proposal (RFP) Friday, 5-2-08, per a Detroit Edison (DTE) request for vendors to
submit applications to sell renewable energy for DTE’s “Green Currents” program.
We are offering almost 700,000 MW hrs per year, but DTE only needs about 180,000. So, we are still looking for customers
to purchase the rest, before we can start the construction process on EWE. We really need the Michigan Legislature to
pass the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) legislation. If Michigan had a RPS, we would have already had a Purchase
Power Agreement (PPA) and could have broke ground on EWE this spring.
We have been in the newspapers lately! In case you missed the articles I continue to update the “EWE Page” on my website.
Please check it for the latest updates as we continue to move forward on EWE: http://www.zerwellenergy.com/EWE_Page.

Finally, Erie Township’s planning commission Chairman, Paul Richardson, will be submitting a proposal to the Township
Supervisor, Bill Frey, to form a new department within the Township Government, to be called “Erie Waste to Energy
Commission” (EWEC) and to be chaired by Paul Richardson. EWEC would oversee the day to day decision making
requirements as the EWE project proceeds. More on that later.
I’ll issue updates as news develops.
Also, I have added a “Power-Save Info” page to the website you might want to read about. I’m very excited about this device!
